Sometimes it really blows my mind that I'm able to make it from point A to point B every day without truly injuring myself. Last night, for example, I fell out of bed. Like, straight up banged my head into a nightstand and ended up laid out on the ground, staring up at bear while he assessed my skull for any serious damage. Aside from a small bruise, the worst part was pretty much the embarrassment, except bear is the guy whose carpet I once vommed all over so I guess I can't really be all that embarrassed. Such a graceful peach I am, really.
I'm going to blame my lack of creativity in today's post on said head trauma and straight up copy cat Erin's post today. You are welcome. Let's countdown some shit.
Five things I'll be doing over the next week:
Uno. Frolicking all over Whorlando with friggen Erin, her man and my man. Hello, epic double date. How you doin'?
Dos. Watching lots and lots of football and praying to the Fireball gods that team Back Dat Asomugha Up get's their shit together and wins our matchup in fantasy this week.
Tres. Trying not to horribly terrify Erin's man from ever stepping foot on Florida soil again. I really don't think he knows what he's in store for.
Foh. Convincing myself to step foot in Ulta and actually buying myself a few things. This budget diva stands clear of said store because it is very dangerous territory, but she's fresh out of face power and shiny faces just aren't cute.
Cinco de Mayo. Cooking up some stuffed peppers for the bear tonight. First time I'll be cooking for him, let's hope I don't poison both of us. Stay tuned.
Four things I need to purchase:
1. Chardonnay. Because I am out and that's simply unacceptable.
2. Drunchies (see also: BBQ Pringles and peach rings). So Erin and her man have something to eat when they get home from the bar and are inevitably drunk and hungry.
3. New Florida State apparel. It's been a hot minute since I've added some new garnet and gold to my closet and that makes me sad panda.
4. Piko (de gallo). Because I think I'm finally going to be hopping aboard that train and I'm only about 2 years late on it. Sorry, I just want to look all stylish like this chick:
Three shows I can't wait to have back in my life:
Admittedly, the only show I'm currently hooked on is Orange Is The New Black and I know I've already mentioned the show on this blog but it's seriously such. an. amazing. show. I'm just about done with season one which means I'm going to be stuck in the corner with the rest of you waiting for season two to show it's face on Netflix. Oh, the horror.
Two reasons I'm excited for Fall:
1. Helloooo, it's the greatest time of the year. Pumpkin bombs, temperatures that don't feel like the depths of hell, holidays where you get to consume unhealthy amounts of food, and like eleventy bagillion other great things.
2. I love it when my bear wears hoodies and Fall means I get to see him rocking a hoodie all the time. All about that life, yo.
One thing that's currently bothering me:
I feel like I'm at a stand-still at my job and I knew going into this job that I would never be able to move up or anything of that nature, so I don't know why it's been bothering me lately but I can't shake it. Every day it's the same story, the same routine, the same everything. I'm really feeling the urge to shake things up but I just don't know what that shakin' and bakin' is going to consist of. That is all.
may your dinner for the bear go splendid my first
Replybig dinner for Brandon was a total hot mess, i swore off cooking it for 3 years.
A) You're welcome for getting you to actually come to this blog today.
ReplyB) I like all the ones about me
C) SEE YOU TOMORROW alfkja;oira;okv;aondo;fawet
Okay, what in the world is a pumpkin bomb? I debated looking it up, but I'm just not sure IT would understand me googling "bomb" of any kind. Orange is the new black is seriously the cat's meow. I may or may not of binge-watched the whole season in one weekend. Pajamas over people.
ReplyMy guess is it's some kind of shot.
HA - love your fantasy name. Andre's is Asomugha-to-Mouth. Or something like that.
ReplyAlso - Forever 21 has (randomly) some cute FSU tops in the clearance section, extra 30% off right now!
FYI my little budget Diva, go to Ulta, buy Lancome's powder for $29 and get a huge free gift with purchase. Me, the oil machine, was out on Friday and went and stocked up. XO
ReplyAnd there you are! Hanging out with your bestie sounds like a lot of fun. Can't say I've ever heard of the pumpkin bomb though!
ReplyPikos are the shit. For realsies. Remind me to find the website that I got them for 20 dollhairs.
ReplyOh oh and you can totes shake things up in the land of mountains if you know I'm saying #winkface
Pikos? What are Pikos?
ReplyI can completely empathize with you on the job thing... I was in the same place as you up until a few months ago. Add on top of that the worst boss ever and a hellish commute (Maitland Blvd. is no joke during rush hour). My biggest advice is to network and build up your LinkenIn if you have one. If you don't.. make one! Unfortunately in today's job market it's usually about who you know not what you know. Hang in there and know that it's ok to be totally over your job and looking to move on.
ReplyGetting new college apparel is seriously addictive! Can't wait to see what you get!

So much fun; I can't wait to hear all about the epic double dates. And I'm as clumsy as can be and bruise like a peach so I feel your pain.. Oh and you're going to punch me but I've never had fireball; I always think of you when I hear about it and think that will be on my bucket list after P pops out.
Replyyou besta be posting about your weekend eventually! cant wait to hear all about it / stalk you two taken ladies!
ReplyI feel ya about falling out of bed - I fell out of mine yesterday bc I saw on FB that my fave junior year of high school English teacher is preggo.
ReplyHave fun on this epic double date!
Also, I'm demanding a drunksie vlog from you and Erin. Please!
I'm quite the clumsy one myself. My husband calls me clumsy Katie daily.
ReplyYou two are cute together :)
I'm in the same boat with my job. I knew I wouldn't be able to move up here. I'm ready for something new. I'm sick of the same routine at work. Boring boring boring.
Gram those peppers and if they're successful send me some or just send me the recipe. I can't wait to hear about all your adventures and stew in my jealousy.
ReplyI'm so ready for fall that I'm jumping for joy at these 75 degree temps we have in NC!
ReplyI have been pining for a Piko as well. The stinkin black is always sold out!
ReplyI'm in a similar boat with my job. I'm not moving up. I know it. And here I sit. It's a decent gig but the thought of doing this for the next 10-20 years or whatever is a little more then mildly depressing. Here's to hoping we figure it out. Love orange is the new black. I'm on hiatus from watching until the man comes back home. I've been waiting 6 weeks!!!!
ReplyI'm so obsessed with Orange is the New Black! I finally had to read the book to try and hold myself over until the season returns but I'm still dying without it.
ReplyI HATE cooking for a guy for the first time.... I feel like all of the pressure is on me to do everything perfect and that it is some kind of unspoken measurement of my womanhood. Gah. Good luck

ReplyI demand to know the details of this Pumpkin Bomb you speak of. Or I could Google it....
ReplyOrange is the new black is the best show! I started it not knowing it hadn't been out long so now I await season 2. Especially the way season one ended makes it even worse. And I totally understand the work thing. I've been at my job for 8 years and I seriously could cry every day before I even step in the bldg. I wish I had all the answers. Hope you figure it out soon!
ReplyI was skeptical about Orange is the new Black at first but it's hilarious!! I hope the second season comes out soon!
ReplyAlways need that Chardonnay!!
ReplyHaha! I am 2 hours away from Whorlando and almost 2 hours from Trampa. Florida is just a big ol slut.
ReplyOh Dandelion, I love that show too. XOXO, Crazy Eyes.
ReplyOkay sorry, yes I just went there. I WANT TO BE PART OF THE EPIC DATE FEST!
Yes! Fall is the besets and I'm all bipolar happy/mad at you for making me watch Orange Is The New Black. Ugh. Another obsession. I need a 12 step program. Happy double dating to you!!!
ReplyFYI - the powerball here in WI is at 400 million. so naturally i made shitler buy lottery tickets. if we hit it big i'll just hire you as my life coach. there's plenty of room for advancement there.
ReplyJust found your blog! Love it!! I will definitely be checking back! :)
ReplyHave fun witht he bears! As for shaking things up? New job on the horizon?
