A lot of you probably don't know this, but I'm a fashion school graduate. Yeppp, I've got me a shiny ol' bachelors degree in fine arts for fashion design and merchandising. See look? I even had to draw and stuff.
Ask me how many years I've used said degree.
Answer: Zero. Goose egg. Nada.
But I promise, I graduated... see?
Oh hey, didn't know I had a big brother and sister that look nothing like me (because we aren't blood related), did you?
Why? I love the idea of fashion more so than working in fashion.
What I really wanted out of my degree was to go into some type of PR for the fashion industry, but along the way I got caught up in photography and the PR dream got lost.
Either way, fashion is apart of me and is really something I do have a lot of passion for. Unfortunately with fashion comes my arch nemesis... Laundry. Which I've pretty much made clear I'm not a huge fan of, but when I saw Tide came out with Tide Pods I was instantly intrigued. I mean, anything to make doing laundry even a tiny bit more interesting has my vote, am I right? Yes, yes I am.
So maybe I'm a little bit easily amused but I was pretty intrigued with the whole idea of just throwing the little pac into my washing machine without having to dump a bunch of detergent into a cap and then have it go everywhere. Which, by the way, I always manage to drip all. over. the. place. Someone please tell me I'm not alone here? Also, I feel like I'm constantly using too much or not enough.. I mean, how does that cap really know how many articles of clothing I've got set to go for a ride in the machine?
In addition to the convenience and easy factor, Tide Pods were gentle on my clothes and didn't beat up on them! It cleaned, brightened and fought the inevitable (wine) stains I always have from being such a klutz. Also, these little pacs of clean are seriously budget diva approved and we all know how much I love to ball on a budget! For me, choosing to bathe my most fashionable clothing items in Tide Pods is a no brainer.
Why would you try out Tide Pods? Tell me for a chance to win a $100 gift card!

I'd try them out because I'm lazy and I don't want to measure out laundry. HAHA.
ReplyBut really, that's awesome about your degree! I could totally see it, because you're so creative and artsy ;) Props to you!
Okay you're starry night project is really cute. And I just started working on social media for a fashion company, it's so much fun but it would never pay the bills alone sooo photography is the way to go. My boyfriend is a photographer and also assists for bigger fashion photographers and he makes... A LOT more than my cutesy little social media job in fashion. So I think you made the right choice especially since you love it.

They sound so easy, I'd love to try!
ReplyYou can make laundry easier? Sign me up!
ReplyI have been using these for months and will never go back! So simple :)
ReplyI have always been so skeptical of those little guys, but I am definitely intrigued! I always have detergent all over the top of my dryer! Even if I lay a towel under the bottle. It still ends up all over the place.
ReplyI would try them out because I need an easier & quick way to do laundry!!
ReplyI'd try out tide pods to make laundry that much easier. I use the pods for my dishwasher, so why not try it out for the washing machine?
ReplyI think your bubby and sissy could be my bubby and sissy. And would I use these? DUH. I use dem already. Love you.
Replyomg i ALWAYS drip all over the place an then it gets all over the bottle and my hands and then i have a tantrum
Replyi would totally try these! easy as pie!
also that starry night dress rendition...SO GOOD!!!! want to sew me a dress pretty please?
xoxoxo
I use them already and LOVE them! Just pop one in the washer and its done! Quick and simple. LOVE IT!
Replyi'd love to try these out for the convenience for sure since i'm also not a big laundry fan!!

I have to lug a bottle of detergent to a common apartment building laundry room where I spill it everywhere. This would make my life so much easier. Thanks for the rec.
ReplyI think the idea behind these is genius! I was tons of clothes and I am always on the look out for new products that allow me to maximize my time. I find the idea of being able to throw one of these in instead of having to measure out detergent is something that would help me to be more time effective and efficient when washing clothes.
ReplyConvenience is always nice.
ReplyPeople with kids, be careful to keep these in a safe place - I saw on the news about a month ago a toddler died after eating a couple of these, thinking they were candy! :(
With a baby in the house, we do lots of laundry! I would love something that's easier to use and store!
ReplyAnything involving EASY is awesome! I need to try these out!
ReplyProps to you for getting your degree! Thats awesome!
I always forget that we're the same major. Like, always. P.S. without that Starry Night drawing this post sucked. You're welcome.
ReplyI too would try the Pods out for the convenience of just thowin' 'em in there & going, because I hate laundry too! Love your major- I too am doing NOTHING related to my major either :)
ReplyI would use Tide Pods because I have a military husband who requires A LOT of uniforms that get rather rank and gross. If these make my laundry days easier... I'm all for it!
ReplyWe started using Tide Pods so we didn't have to carry the bottle of laundry soap to the laundry room in our apartment complex. I will never go back...even though I have my own laundry now and don't have to carry soap anywhere, it's so much easier just to toss in a pod and not fuss with spilling (I totally do this too) and pouring.
ReplyI would try Tide Pods bc I'm lazy and like to make one trip inside after leaving the store. Laundry detergent bottles take up an entire hand. Pods container is lightweight!! Throw it in the Target bag. Hope they make clothes smell as good as the Tide detergent.
ReplyI would try them out since I hate doing laundry and this would make it much easier!
ReplyI've been REAL interested in trying these out but honestly, I LOVE doing laundry and what I love the most about it is making sure that my laundry smells yummy and fresh. When I worked in VIP Travel, my coworkers would literally know when I got to work because they could smell my Downy (not too overwhelming though). I worry about the Tide Pods because I don't know if they will hold enough Tide "scent". I do love the way Tide smells and I do use it.. anyone have any words of advice on this, etc?

I'm like you, I have a degree in Graphic Design from an art school and don't use it. As far as Tide pods, I've used before an I like them! www.styleoyster.blogspot.com
ReplyThese would be perfect for when we are travelling and need to do laundry, so much more convenient than a huge bottle of liquid!

Easy laundry? Sign me up
ReplyI'd love to try these as a way of making my laundry duties a little bit easier, and see just how clean they can get my kids' gross clothes. ;)

I had to laugh at this post because I HATE doing laundry! Mostly the entire process. But those pods look pretty nifty. And seriously, If I could pop one of those things in the washer instead of having to haul the heavy liquid detergent container to & from the laundry room (located conveniently not so near my apt) I would be a pretty darn appreciative gal!
ReplyI would try these out for sure.... I like the idea that they don't take up as much room on a shelf as huge freakin' containers of detergent. We have a teeny space to do laundry in, and any way I can save space is good with me!
ReplyI would love to try these - I hate the buildup of detergent in the bottom of the measuring cup, and the pods would eliminate that, yay!
ReplyI would try these because I HATE lugging home a huge bottle of detergent!
ReplyThese are awesome! My mom sent some to me in a care package once, and I was instantly in love!
ReplyBlog Link! http://resorttownrambles.blogspot.com/2013/10/post-pirate-party.html
ReplyI'll try anything once...also pods = Boomer can do this? Right? Yes for child labor.
ReplyWe're like twins; my degree is in PR and I haven't done anything with it. And I love photography too :)
ReplyOh and I would love to use the pods to lessen my load (no pun intended) when Miss P arrives. Double the baby=double the laundry..
I'd love to try these! Mostly because I can never measure out the right amount of laundry soap and I tend to use way too much. :)
ReplyI actually use these now and LOVE them!! The reason I tried them in the first place? Because my dad bought them and I needed detergent :)
ReplyI would definitely give them a try!

ReplyI use Tide Pods and love them because there is no need to measure just pop one into the washer.
